Pickin' Strawberries

The other evening, I got a delightful text from my friend Crystal.

"Suz, do you want to go on an adventure with me, tanya and the kiddos wed morning?  We are going to pick berries at [tanya's parents'] farm!"

I was delighted!  Crystal watches Karlina and Ender and so I was super excited at the prospect of spending the day with them...not to mention my good friends Crystal and Tanya!

The day started early...but was definitely worth it!

Off to White Pine Berry Farm we go!

Mmmm This variety of strawberry is SO yummy!  

We told Miss K to try one out.  She was really into it. 

We told her to only pick the really big and red ones.

whoops.  Hope whoever got that box doesn't think a mouse got in there!

By this time, Ender was SO tired.  He was being extra cuddly though.  Tanya sure enjoyed that!

What a cutie!  Love this boy.  His personality is developing so much!

Pretty much says it all.  Kids doing whatever, and Crystal holding it all together and managing to still look beautiful and radiant!

I wish we would have gotten a picture of Tanya's dad, "Farmer Greg."  Karlina and Ender just loved him...mainly staring at him.  But they thought he was a lot of fun.  Karlina overheard someone call him the boss, and so the whole way home, she would randomly say, "Farmer Greg is the boss...he IS the boss."  

it was super cute. 

After lunch, we made a stop by Tanya's uncle's dairy farm.

This one calf kept wanting to suck our fingers.  Such a weird sensation. 

Karlina was quite brave and fed the calves on her own!

Ender too was fascinated by this calf that kept licking and sucking my arm.

Over all it was a fantastic fun day and we have some amazing berries to show for it!
